What You'll Do
The Salesforce Product Owner plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical delivery and is responsible for maximizing the value of Salesforce across the business.
Product Owner Professionals are at the center of delivering Salesforce solutions and driving innovation on platforms that improve customer experience, meet customer needs, and create business value while prioritizing "what" the team is working on to deliver value to the customer. The Product Owner Professional is a servant leader and not the manager of team members, has well-rounded job knowledge, helps to coach/mentor others on the team, structure the work for the business technology team and delegates the work.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You'll Do It
- Drive Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CRM Analytics, and custom platforms. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Services, Product, Compliance, and Technology to ensure our solutions are innovative, scalable, and impactful.
Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical teams to gather and clarify business needs and requirements.
Translate business requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Understand and ensures product features and processes align with applicable Discover regulatory, compliance, and risk management standards. Ensures product adheres to the highest quality standards, including releasing security patches not linked to customers. Articulates requirements (regulatory, contractual) into use cases, agile stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure compliance. Creates and validates user story acceptance criteria. Inspect and evaluate product progress through each iteration.
Build product backlog, prioritize work items to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and continuously keep it up to date. Maintains key product documentation (e.g., customer journey map, technical specs, process mapping, etc.).
Lead Agile practices (sprints, planning, execution, and retros) and facilitates meetings with the product team to continuously refine and prioritize product backlog.
Execute appropriate testing frameworks for product features (e.g. functional performance, etc.) and facilitate user acceptance testing with business stakeholders.
Represent the voice of the user to ensure Salesforce solutions are intuitive, efficient, and add value to their business processes.
Help shape the Salesforce roadmap and contribute to the product development in partnership with Product Management and business leadership team by connecting how customer solutions support business goals. Responsible for delivering Minimum Viable Product (MVP) solutions.
Manage and communicate scope, deliverables, timelines of projects and/or plans through storyboarding and structuring complex information visually.
Partner with business technology to create technical features that are required to continuously optimize system components and underlying infrastructure maintenance.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to support initiatives that are impactful to the Salesforce platform and user base.
Work with Data Stewards in their respective LOBs to ensure required data quality controls are identified and implemented.
Build a culture of accountability and ownership by empowering the product team to make decisions as close to the work as possible.
Partner with vendors and/or cross-functional partners in the evaluation, development, management, monitoring and/or enhancement of assigned products and/or programs.
Monitor adoption and system performance.
Stay up to date on new Salesforce feature releases and identify opportunities to improve user experience and business processes through new features.
Qualifications You'll Need
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration and Management, Finance Management, Mathematics Economics, Statistics or related.
- 4+ years Product Management or Engineering experience in Financial Services or Tech Industry. Or Related
In Lieu of Education Experience
- 6+ years Product Management or Engineering experience in Financial Services or Tech Industry. Or Related
Preferred Requirements
- Agile Certification - Certified Scrum Master or Scrum Product Owner
3+ years of experience managing Salesforce capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.) or other CRMs in a product capacity.
Strong technical fluency, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Hands on experience with declarative tools such as reports and dashboards and flows.
Understanding of the Salesforce data model, experience with Salesforce data loader and data governance concepts.
Experience with defining Salesforce data models and related security features, such as profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
Excellent communication, prioritization, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Experience designing CRM Analytics dashboards tailored to roles such as AE, AM, Sales Manager, Services teams, etc.
Understanding of KPIs across various business stakeholder groups such as Sales, Service, and Product.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $102,500.00 to $143,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
